You upload a PDF, Excel or CSV invoice. Complybase sends the document content to OpenAI's API, which reads the packaging line items, identifies material types and extracts weights. Our system then applies the correct EPR material category and modulation code to each line. You review the results, correct anything that's wrong, and proceed to generate your report. The whole process typically takes under 3 minutes per document.

Complybase accepts PDF (including scanned PDFs with OCR), Microsoft Excel (.xlsx and .xls) and CSV files. Maximum file size is 25MB. If you have invoices in other formats, converting to PDF first is the simplest approach. We're adding more formats regularly — contact us if you have a specific supplier format we don't yet support.

Large producers (50+ tonnes and £2M+ turnover) submit quarterly data via the NPWD portal — deadlines are 1 April, 1 July, 1 October and 1 January — and pay per-tonne waste disposal fees to PackUK's administrator. Small producers (25–50 tonnes or £1M–£2M turnover) submit an annual data return only and pay a flat registration fee — not waste disposal fees. Complybase tracks all deadlines and sends reminders at 30, 14 and 7 days out.

Yes. Cancel from your account settings at any time with no penalty. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. Annual plan subscribers who cancel within 30 days of their initial payment are eligible for a refund — contact us at contact@complybase.co. After 30 days, annual plans are non-refundable but you retain access until the subscription period ends.
